What is KikScore

What type of “public information” will KikScore use? KikScore relies on hundreds of pieces of both positive and negative public information (e.g. address history, liens, judgments, criminal records) to assist in evaluating subscribing businesses.

Do I have to provide my personal information? No. But one of the principles behind KikScore is helping shoppers know from whom they are buying. So the more information provided, the better KikScore can evaluate a business.

How does KikScore evaluate my business? In addition to information about the business owners/managers, KikScore looks at, among other things: site activity, domain/registrar information, security features of the website content and communications, transaction histories, consumer evaluations, and merchant location(s).

How can I get the best KikScore? We can’t reveal how KikScore rates the many different variables (as less-reputable sites would attempt to receive an undeserved score). That said, the more information available about a business and its owners – the more extensive the data KikScore will have to evaluate.

Is KikScore updated on a regular basis? Yes. Data on merchants is updated daily, monthly and quarterly; depending on the data source.

How can shoppers see my KikScore and KikReport. After subscribing, shoppers can see both the KikScore and KikReport two different ways: (1) by clicking on the interactive seal that you place on your site; or (2) by going to www.kikscore.com and entering your website domain.

Can I respond to any information that I think is wrong about KikScore? Yes. If you believe that information contained on your KikReport or KikScore is incorrect, just email us at support@kikscore.com. We will require supporting documentation and will investigate the issue.

Can I provide my own messaging to shoppers that look at the KikScore/KikReport? Yes. The KikReport allows merchants to respond to shopper feedback, as well as posting videos about you and your business.

What do KikScore and KikReport mean to me, the shopper? It will provide shoppers with verified data on the business and its owners and managers. All information available will be provided to the shoppers for their own review (via the KikReport) and we will also score this information and give an overall recommendation to shoppers (via the KikScore).

What is the KikScore based on? The business’ KikScore is based on hundreds of different variables, including trends on the following: information about the business owners/managers (e.g. address history, liens, judgments, criminal records); site activity; domain/registrar information; security features of the website content and communications; transaction histories; consumer evaluations; and merchant location(s).

Can’t a business lie about certain information and get a high KikScore? It’s very difficult for a business to inflate their KikScore for several reasons: (1) the KikScore is based mostly on commercial data and verified information – items that a merchant cannot forge; (2) KikScore’s algorithm is highly guarded and does not make the full details available to merchants; and (3) KikScore rewards a business providing information about itself and its owners – allowing further verification and evaluation.

Is KikScore updated on a regular basis? Yes. Data on merchants is updated daily, monthly and quarterly; depending on the data source.

How do I know that the KikScore is valid? If you go to www.kikscore.com and entering the merchant’s website domain, you’ll see the same KikReport and KikScore that is found on the merchant’s site. If you do not see that information, then the seal on the site in question is not an authorized KikReport or KikScore.

Who is the Interactive Security Group and where are they based? Interactive Security Group LLC (ISG) is a Virginia LLC that has eight employees and has operations in Virginia, Colorado and Washington, D.C. Founded in March, 2007, the company delivers a patent-pending solution that addresses the most significant barrier to growth facing today’s small online merchants: the unwillingness of shoppers to buy from unfamiliar merchants.

What is KikScore? KikScore is ISG’s patent-pending product that was specifically developed in response to growing concerns about which merchants you can trust when shopping online. KikScore is an innovative product that will (i) empower online merchants so they can demonstrate their trustworthiness to shoppers across the world through the use of our product, and (ii) empower shoppers by giving them an independent third party recommendation about the merchant coupled with an opportunity to review the merchant specific data firsthand.

What does a KikScore consist of? KikScore includes two key components: First, a trust score that is created by a proprietary algorithm that analyzes data pulled from public, proprietary and internet data sources. This data provides indications of trustworthiness and is based on our extensive, first-hand industry experience with fraud and trust analysis of internet commerce. The second component is an interactive, real-time dashboard that presents particular pieces of information and data which allow online shoppers to make their own determination of trustworthiness for a merchant.

What is a KikReport? A KikReport is an online merchant report card that provides every shopper with details about a merchant’s trustworthiness and reliability and other data that is used to calculate a merchant’s KikScore.

What is the purpose of KikScore? There are approximately 25 million small businesses in the United States and millions more globally. Despite their vast numbers, most small businesses share a common problem—overcoming the unwillingness of shoppers to buy from unfamiliar merchants, especially small businesses that do not have significant brand recognition online. The purpose of KikScore is to help those millions of small businesses to leverage their good standing and trustworthiness to generate more sales.

How does KikScore differ from other trust products in the marketplace? While there are companies that sell SSL Certificates, reputation management seals, website scanning seals and other types of seals (insurance bonds, business verification), each of these seals are static and one-dimensional. These seals generally claim to achieve a single goal in isolation such as scanning a website for possible security breaches, or providing a basic business verification or allowing for a merchant to monitor customer feedback). ISG’s KikScore product provides a dynamic informational dashboard that continually pulls, analyzes and scores data that relates to a merchant’s trust, security and performance that is scattered around the internet and in various public and private databases. Unlike the other products, which to a large extent are all subsumed and included in KikScore’s interactive dashboard, small business merchants can use KikScore to take information about their company and provide it to their shoppers, thereby proactively demonstrating trustworthiness, credibility and performance to visitors of their site by providing information transparency.

What type of information is accessible via KikScore? KikScore pulls and scores information from a number of sources and displays this information to any user of the services, some of which include the following: (i) Verified Website Information and Trends, (ii) the Merchant’s Reputation and Performance, (iii) Merchant Security, (iv) Shopper Feedback, and (v) the Merchant’s Creditworthiness.
